The Willow Floral Flower Girl Headband
The willow has many practical uses throughout Britain and Worldwide. It was used in the walls of houses as part of ‘wattle and daub’, made in to fence posts, baskets and furniture. The word ‘wick’ in old English means to bend but it is the Greek goddess ‘Helice’, meaning the goddess of the willows, who was originally associated with the tree as she and her priestesses used willow in their water magic and healing.
