The Bespoke Pearl Flower Girl and First Communion Dress

Pearls, lilies and unicorns were seen as symbols of feminine purity in the Renaissance and is often seen in many paintings of the Madonna. Representations of the Virgin Mary’s pearls became associated with faith and chastity. The Pearl flower girl dress or first holy communion dress is made in white or ivory and is floor length with a flowing soft tulle skirt in the romantic style.

This bespoke flower girl dress is made with a pure ivory silk bodice or white satin and both the bodice and skirt is fully lined with a hand pleated skirt. The dress has a very high quality, heavily pearled embellishment sewn onto the shoulder and a beautiful quality vintage style crystal and pearl motif on the ribbon sash. The motifs can be used again and again on different dresses, if required and kept as heirloom pieces.

The bodice does up at the back with a pearl button or we can add a full button back, if you prefer. As we make all of our flower girl dresses and first communion dresses to order we can make any changes to the styles including: puff sleeves, elbow length sleeves or a fuller tulle skirt, if you prefer.
